Three Royals pitchers combined on a one-hitter as Kansas City downed Philadelphia 2-0 in Fort Myers.

Dave Morehead started for the Royals and allowed the only hit the Phillies collected on the day, a single by Cookie Rojas. Morehead also issued one walk and hit a batter. Tom Burgmeier and Dave Wickersham followed with three perfect innings each.

On offense, the Royals picked up seven hits, including two each by George Spriggs and Joe Keough. Kansas City scored one run in the first on singles by Spriggs, Joe Foy, and Keough. In the sixth, the Royals used singles by Keough and Mike Fiore, with a sacrifice bunt sandwiched between them, to score their second run.

With this game, the Royals concluded the Fort Myers portion of the spring training schedule.
