Baltimore scored three runs in the eighth inning to pick up a 6-5 win over the Royals in Miami.

Larry Harlow doubled with the bases loaded, driving in the tying and go-ahead runs. Royals reliever Steve Mingori had already allowed three hits and a bases-loaded walk in the inning.

The offensive star of the day for Kansas City was catcher Buck Martinez, who drilled a three-run home run in the second inning.

Kansas City fell to 9-8 in exhibition play with the loss.
