This Date In Royals History–1977 Edition: April 28

The Royals had a day off after splitting a two-game series with Texas. Their nine-game homestand was set to continue with a visit from the expansion Toronto Blue Jays. Kansas City was attempting to improve on its subpar 4-6 home record so far; their 6-1 mark on the road was keeping them afloat in the AL West race.
